Fotor AI Art Challenge: Road TripI've been exploring AI generated artwork and decided to enter Fotor's challenge to create images based on a road trip. I found the Fotor website while I was looking to deblur an image and their deblur tool did a really nice job so I figured it was worth seeing what else they could do to enhance my workflow.
Anyway, on to the point. The following images are the images I created with the text to image tool. Follow the links below or click on the images and give a like please if you're already a registered user or plan on opening either a paid or free account at fotor.com. I had a lot of fun creating the images and if you're interested in my thought process while creating them then read on. Otherwise, feel free to stop here and check out the text to image photos I created for the Fotor AI art challenge entitled Road Trip.
The first image idea I had was the overpacked car: click here to like at Fotor.com
I was remembering some old shows that the cars were overpacked and thought that would be fun to play around with. I definitely remember an episode of I Love Lucy that they came out to the car and Lucy had the car packed so full no one could fit in the car. I think the Beverly Hillbillies and the original Munsters also had similar scenes if I remember correctly, that was a long time ago. The AI generator had no issues with this concept, it was quick and easy to create. Usually I have to play around with the prompts to get exactly what I want.
The second idea I had was the wildlife: click here to like at fotor.com
This idea started out as a traffic jam that turned into a tailgating celebration. I bit off a little more than I could chew with that idea because everything I created looked like a very frustrating, aggravating traffic jam with very little to celebrate. Then I remembered in Yellowstone everyone stops when they see wildlife and when one car stops everyone stops to see what the first car is seeing and no one is ever upset over the stoppage. But what wildlife to choose? Well that was easy, the bison cross the road whenever they want and take their sweet old time about it. They stop in clusters in the road, walk in the road inches from the cars, and don't move until they feel like it (or the rangers happen to come along and get them moving). With the new thought process, this image became as quick and easy as the first image to create.
My third idea was the RV: click here to like at fotor.com
Three images were allowed for the contest and I didn't want three images of the same thing. This image the AI generator actually changed my mind for me. The idea I started with was an RV stopped at a drawbridge that was raised to allow a ship through. I was creating two images at a time and one of the images was similar to what I was looking for (kind of) but the other image was an RV in a very shallow stream with a waterfall behind it. I really loved this idea, especially the idea of the RV in a more unlikely place to be parked. I also loved the idea of the waterfalls in the background so I just ran with this idea. This image was also quick and easy
These images were all fun to create. AI is obviously here to stay so I might as well get on board. Those who resist the future get left behind, right? I actually use Leonardo AI for my generations and I spend days, even weeks getting my images exactly the way I want with the extensive amount of editing I generally do.
I did no editing to these images because the images had to be created through Fotor's generator for the contest. This was my first time using the Fotor text to image tool to generate images, I only had a few hours until the contest closed, and I didn't have the time to try out Fotor's editing tool. Considering this, these image came out really close to what I was looking for.
I'm currently creating anthropomorphic wolves at Leonardo AI, I'll write an article when I get a chance to show how that's going. I plan on selling the collection of humanoid wolves as wall art. For anyone interested here's a sample below. Thanks for reading and please don't forget to give my images a like by clicking on the links above to go to the Fotor website if you're already a registered user there or plan on signing up.
